The EMCL Collective (E-education M-mentorship C-compassion L-laughter) was created by Andriana Santiago with the mission to develop life empowering opportunities for student refugees to continue their education with private sponsorships, mentorships and programming rooted in compassion and laughter wellness. EMCL focuses on investing in the whole student instead of only their academic success. EMCL provides financial support for tuition, housing, food, clothing, sickness, and extracurricular activities for mental health. LA LUZ STUDIOS- Co-Founder (2012-2017)
La Luz Studios (Bushwick, Brooklyn 2012-2016) was co-founded by Andriana Santiago and inspired an environment for artistic freedom and self expression with community, laughter and programming such as daily classes, weekly events, student shows and special performances. La Luz offered rental rehearsal space with mirrors and sprung floor (2nd floor), a consignment/vintage shop for the works of local artists (storefront), and a 2000sqft photo/video studio with a large cyc wall. Andriana taught various classes a week and hosted monthly variety shows. She curated a community of teachers and students, experiences and oppertunities that still live on in one off events and classes. (La Luz Facebook and Instagram)

For my @AndrianaSINGS project, I wrote a song everyday for about 3 years on my instagram. I started taking these ‘life jingles’ seriously when i realized how much joy it brought myself and those who gave them a listen. However, whether its silly or serious the focus is on self expression and how singing can inspire.
